About us
Although the HMH name is new, HMH has been manufacturing industry-leading equipment for more than 130 years. Building on the legacy of our historical brands, and with an eye towards innovation, HMH has created one of the mining industry’s most comprehensive portfolio of products, systems, and services for onshore and subsea mining, onshore and offshore drilling, and construction applications.
For more than 60 years, HMH has been manufacturing Wirth™ piston diaphragm slurry pumps and numerous positive displacement pumps, becoming an industry leader. Our Wirth™ high-pressure slurry pumps have power ratings of up to 3,000 kW and successfully perform in various heavy-duty applications in the mining and metallurgical industry for the transport of abrasive and high-density slurry.
At HMH, we closely assist our clients all the way through the project. We provide continuous support during the complete lifetime of the slurry pump to allow them to complete their project on schedule and on cost.

Products & Services
Wirth™ heavy duty slurry pumps can be supplied in several designs:
Piston or piston diaphragm
Duplex or triplex
Single or double-acting
With electric motors and VFD configuration
Pressure ratings of up to 30 MPa and flow rates of up to 900 m³/h
Peru – Antamina Mine
Since 2002, four Wirth™ TPK pumps are operating at the Antamina copper mine located at an elevation of 4,200 m. They transport copper concentrate through a 300-km-long pipeline, running from the mine site to the port of Huarmey, north of Lima. Each pump has a capacity of 132 m³/h; the required discharge pressure is 25.2 MPa, while the installed power is 1,300 kW with variable frequency drives being used.
Chile – Andina Mine
In 2026 we installed three new Wirth™ TPM pumps replacing over 20-year-old Wirth™ slurry pumps to extend the mine’s capabilities. In addition to the equipment delivery, the contract also includes a long-term service agreement focused on operational continuity and optimized performance.
Peru - Quebrada Honda
In 2007, four Wirth™ TPM pumps were delivered to the Southern Peru Copper Corporation to be installed around the tailings disposal dams in Quebrada Honda in Toquepala, Peru. The project processes 147,000 t tailings per day with tailings being placed in two tailing dams, Dique Principal and Dique Lateral. Three Wirth™ TPM pumps are operating at a discharge flow of 295 m³/h and a discharge pressure of 6 MPa. One pump operates 190 m³/h at a discharge pressure of 8 MPa.
