QUALITY
Our products are widely used in safety-related applications and ensure smooth and efficient function for our customers. This can be, for example, long conveyor belt systems in underground mines, which are also used for transporting personnel, through to commercial aircraft whose landing gear must be reliably lubricated.
Uncompromising quality assurance, which covers the entire supply chain up to the dispatch of the products, is therefore essential.
In 1998 MATO introduced the DIN EN ISO 9001 Quality Management System, which underpins our quality policy. The zero-error principle applies. Every employee shares the responsibility for quality. Our suppliers are involved in our quality management system. Many products undergo regular technical inspections by independent product certification organizations. In addition to this, some MATO subsidiaries are also certified by their national QA organizations.
GLOBAL PRESENCE
Just a few years after its founding in Offenbach, the company began exporting to neighboring countries. The products of both divisions quickly gained international prominence.
MATO recognized early the importance of having a direct presence close to their customers in key markets.
Over time, exports consistently expanded. As early as the 1980s, the company set up its own subsidiaries, some of which had their own production facilities, in Great Britain, South Africa, Spain and France. These were followed later by Australia, the USA, Russia, Ukraine and
China.
Today, MATO has a global network which includes the company’s headquarters, subsidiaries and distributors. Together they provide integrated sales, support and service to most major markets.
This strong global presence provides ideal conditions for close and cooperative relationships with our customers.

Belt Maintenance Equipment - Belt Lacing and Belt Cleaners
MATO is the technology leader in the field of mechanical conveyor belt splicing with our belt maintenance equipment products. Belt cleaning systems, designed to work effectively with the MATO fasteners, complete the product range. The applications for these products cover a broad spectrum from mining and raw material extraction, agriculture and recycling, airports and road preparation, through to applications in the food and textile industries. MATO fasteners can withstand the most diverse demands: operators of coal mines and processing plants are offered the security of being able to safely move several thousand tons of load per day. Users of round baler presses appreciate extremely high durability of the belt splices throughout the harvest season and beyond. We guarantee manufacturers of laundry machines a long machine life and gentle laundry transport. Customers from the food industry are guaranteed maximum hygiene of their equipment. MATO research and development ensures that our customers get the most economical and safest splicing method, today and in the future.
The use of the right belt cleaner is a critical factor in the effective, safe and economical functioning of conveyor belts for our customers. This is ensured by the optimal interaction between the fasteners and cleaners. Efficient cleaning performance, a long service life as well as easy and fast maintenance are the outstanding features of MATO belt cleaners.
Lubrication Equipment - Fluid Handling Products
There are moving parts in every machine or plant. Lubricants are used to minimize friction and wear, and to protect against contamination and corrosion. These can be greases, pastes or oils of different consistencies, chemical and physical properties and viscosities.
Lubricants can only display their individual performance parameters if they arrive in the lubrication system clean, safely and in the desired quantity. In production, maintenance and servicing, the lubricant is often used under high pressure. Here, safety for people, machinery and the environment is important.
The complete range of MATO lubrication equipment enables our customers to handle the lubricants reliably, safely, economically and ecologically. The products for handling lubricating greases, and lubricating and hydraulic oils are complemented by an intelligent range of pumps and accessories for fuels, for example in the diesel, heating oil and two-stroke fuel area.
