VDMA – Mining
The Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers Associaltion

The German Engineering Federation (VDMA) is located in Frankfurt, as a private non-profit organisation. VDMA offers more than 120 years of experience in the machinery, plant manufacturing industry and the information technology sector. The Engineering Federation has over 3.100 members divided into 39 specific branch associations and is the largest network of the engineering industry in Europe. The mainly small and medium sized enterprises reach an annual production value of € 195 billion and employ roughly 990.000 people (2013).

The Mining Equipment Association is part of VDMA and has about 130 member companies. Our branch achieves a total production of 6,2 billion Euro in 2013, employs some 15.000 people and is active throughout the world. The most important export markets are Russia, China and the US and the industry's share of exports is close to 93 percent. VDMA headquarters is located in Frankfurt/Germany with offices in Brussels, Beijing, Kolkata, Moscow and Tokyo.
